Getting ready

Hi all! We are busy getting everything ready for our very first surgery out in california. Many different emotions all around. Brody is getting very excited to ride the airplane for the very first time. Mom is nervous but also excited to be able to give Brody this wonderful oppurtunity to be able to hear with out his baha's. thanks to everyone for the encouraging words as well as your thoughts and prayers! We arE in for a wild ride and long year! Thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout this whole journey we are very excited to start. We thought this day would never come, But am very excited to have it start. Today was a busy day! I drove an hour and 15 min from madison (was at a womens conference) to get to Princeton for there annaul 9 pin bowling tournment. We don't usually do bowling tournments (if any of you have seen me bowl you would understand why) but this tournment, the proceeds were going to the lions chairties as well as Brody. We had so much fun! Brody couldn't wait to get up and bowl! He would have bowled all day if we would have let him!

Thank you to the Princeton Lions for oragaizing this wonderful fundraiser. Also to Stars & Strikes bowling alley for hosting. Many thanks to all the bowlers for coming and everyone who came just to support the charities and Brody. It is really wonderful to see all the people come out to support events like this!

Hi Everyone!

Not sure if anyone really reads these posts and updates... :) but i wanted to let you all know that I will be posting in this blog as well as on brodys website. If you would like these updates emailed to you, please subscribe at the top right you can enter your email, and they will automaticly emailed whenever I post. Another option is to go to brody's website, www.brodyhenke.com and subscribe. This is not an email, it will just show up in your favorites and newsfeeds for google.  I am not very experienced with building websites. but throughout this whole process, I am learning bits and pieces, and I have found more ways to keep everyone informed. It is on the Brody "Journal" page!! :)

The Princeton Lions are having a bowling fundraiser with half of the proceeds going to Brody! This is a very nice small town bowling alley with a wonderful atmosphere! We went to this bowling fundraiser last year and Brody had a blast!! :) It is kid friendly! Make sure if you would like to bowl you call ahead and resevre a lane. Last year the lanes were booked solid!

We will be bowling the 3 pm shift!

 

Another thing that i want to remind everyone about is the Country Pub Crawl April 20th!! This is a LADIES ONLY EVENT!!!!

$25 per person includes T-Shirt, Bus, and Donation for Brody Henke, a wonderful little guy who is in need of ears!

On a sidenote from all the fundraisers, we booked our airplane tickets as well as our hotel!! :) Yeah! now on to getting everything ready for when we leave!
