Brody Updates: CT Results. First Surgery Date. Online Auction

Lots of new and exciting progress on the Brody boys upcoming surgery. We sent his CT scan to the California Ear Institute. We received excellent news that he is a canidate for atresia repair.(opening of his canals) This is the news we have been waiting for since he was 2 weeks old! This means that he will be able to do the combined surgery verses 4 seperate surgeries! We are excited for Brody to have this oppurtunity to get "big boy" ears as well as having the oppurtunity to hear without his BAHA's. There is a chance that he will needd a "phase 2 surgery" on one of his ears, but this we won't know until they operate.

We have set up his very first surgery date for August 14th 2013! YEAH! after saying that, I have come to relize that it is only 6 months away and that I have lots to research for flights, hotels, rental cars, post-operation, and the list goes on! The staff at The California Ear Instute (CEI) has been very friendly and helpfull with my 8 million questions!

My old college roommate contacted me and wanted to help us raise funds for Brody. So she asked if she could do an online auction to help spread the word about Brody as well as raise money.
